Fiction Presentation

Hey, everyone. I think most of you already know me, since I’m the current President of mars, but just for the record, my name’s Annalyn Reynolds Court. I’m 5’ 4” tall, weight 110lbs., and I’m 17 earth years old. The most important thing is, I guess… I’m the legal daughter of Charles Reynolds, who was President of Mars before the revolution. I didn’t really have a family to live with, so I lived with Shala. Even though she was my nurse-companion, I treated her like my mother. I can’t remember her very well anymore, but I’d say she was 30 years old, and she wasn’t very tall. I also had a best friend, called Evan. He was a year older than me, and he was tall and slender. He was also Charles Reynolds’s legal son, and my half brother. He always used to joke and bully me around, but he was still a good friend. His mother was Janis Parker, the “First Lady”. She was about 40, and she was extremely tall, she had blonde hair, and pale, blue eyes. All the cities on mars were in craters, and all were covered with shields. Olympia had 5 Major shields, and 7 seven smaller ones. One day, the city got attacked. I was at an observation dock next the president, so I could see it all happen. I was confused, and worried. What if Shala didn’t survive? Some time later, a strange lady called me to inform me that I had been sent on a secret mission to save people at a bombed train station. I was so confused, I didn’t know what was going on, and didn’t notice how I got to the deserted train station. Then I noticed that there wasn’t anyone there, and all the tunnels were blocked off by fallen boulders. They sent me out here to die, I thought. But I wasn’t going to be let down as easily. I started digging my way through the fallen tunnel. It seemed like it took me a year to finish. When I got out, Olympia’s train station was in a worse state than I expected. All the people were sitting around on the ground, looking as indifferent as a skateboarder would look to math. I looked on the rescued list, and couldn’t find Shala. I spoke to a woman there, and she told me they found her corpse in her café. I got so sad, I felt like falling down and dieing, but I knew that I had to go on.
