Surely we all know that Mohandas Ghandi wasn't a Muslim leader - he was a devoted Hinduist. He even was the leader of independent India when this country was broken to two parts (India and Pakistan) and many Muslims went to Pakistan. These two countries are still major rivals.
From this movie we remember that Ghandi was greatly upset by clushes between Hindus and Muslims and even started starvation in order to stop it.
