My year in P.E

PE is one of the best subjects at Egan. I have learned to use teamwork. I have gained friends. I have increased perseverance. This year in PE I have gained many skills.

One technique, using teamwork, has helped me complete my goals this year. In Hockey, our team used teamwork to organize it and have some people be on offense, and some on defense, which is how we won. In Basketball, we used teamwork to stop the enemy from getting the ball, and to get it into the basket. All sports in general require a great deal of teamwork to succeed. Thus I learned how to put teamwork, an important quality, to work to help me and my team win.

Another item that has helped me make PE a very interesting class is friendship. I have made two or three friends in this period simply because I am in the same class with them. Marc Goupil, a person I have always admired but who has never really liked me, suddenly became a good friend who I now hang out with most of the time. I would have never imagined being friends with Lisa Goodman, an honourable person in our school. However, here I am, talking to her before and after class. Clearly, making friends has helped me a lot in my year in PE.

Last but not least, I have become more perseverant because of PE. When we do the push-ups, in the beginning of the Year I would stop because I did not feel like going on. Now, however, I do all forty even if it hurts, because I know it is right for me. I used to walk-jog most of the laps in the beginning of the year, but like the push-ups, I have improved vastly. Perseverance is an important thing when it comes to PE, and I have gained much of this skill.

In this year in PE, I have gained many abilities. I use teamwork and make new friends to increase my productivity. I have gained perseverance to finish tasks I have started. If I would have a choice of all the schools’ PE classes, I would choose Egan’s.
